This top aviation school is a nonprofit university located in San Antonio, Texas. Hallmark has been certified to teach aircraft maintenance since the late 1960’s and offers multiple programs in the Aeronautic field. Most of their programs offer hands-on training with certified professionals in the aviation maintenance field, but students can also earn a bachelor’s degree in aviation management completely online.
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology
Established in 1928 the Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and offers programs in aviation, aviation electronics, flight, quality control and aircraft maintenance.
In 1939 the Spartan school was activated as a U.S. Army Air Corps facility to supplement the few flying training schools across the country. Since then the school has trained more than 130,000 pilots and technicians.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
A student that attends Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University can expect to have the opportunity to receive an associate, bachelor, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in many aviation related fields. Commonly called “the Harvard of the sky,” the University is the world’s largest, fully accredited university system specializing in aviation and aerospace.
Almost if not all of their programs are accredited by their respective fields, and many of their programs are certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. Most recently, the university has become the nation’s first FAA-approved training provider for student airline certification.

With the largest fleet of over 120 aircraft’s, the University of North Dakota is the largest fleet of civilian flight training aircraft in North America.
Purdue has produced some notable names since its creation in 1869. The first of which, Amelia Earhart, served as a consultant to the school in 1935 and provided her the Lockheed Electra 10-E, the plane that she flew on her attempted round-the-world flight. Other notable names include Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon and Gus Grissom, one of the original Mercury Seven astronauts.
